What is the Embella Chair?
The pelvic floor muscles can become weak from life events such as childbirth, menopause, and natural aging. This often results in continence issues such as leaking urine when laughing, coughing, or sneezing. Urinary incontinence (UI) is a common problem and affects both women and men.
The Embella Chair treats all types of UI: stress UI, urgent UI, and mixed UI. It's a relaxed, comfortable treatment that requires no preparation or downtime. It treats weakened pelvic floor muscles by using high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to do the equivalent of thousands of pelvic floor exercises, or Kegels. All you need to do is sit back, relax, read a book, and let the Embella Chair do the work for you.

Benefits
A POWERFUL TREATMENT FOR THE PELVIC FLOOR
Many people find it difficult to keep up a routine of pelvic floor exercises, either because they find them too much of a chore or they simply forget to do them. Some also say they can feel uncomfortable. But just one 30-minute session on the Embella Chair is better than doing 10,000 Kegel exercises, and the results are far more significant. The Embella Chair contracts the pelvic muscles more intensely than even the most determined Kegel session can manage.
The Embella Chair is a walk-in, walk-out treatment that allows patients to get on with their day immediately after a session. No preparation or recovery time is required and results will begin to be felt after three or four sessions.

the process
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Embella Chair essentially provides a more intense Kegel experience, with the vibrating chair doing around 10,000 reps in a single 30-minute treatment designed to stimulate motor neurons to control the pelvic floor muscles which trigger repeated hyper-contractions to rebuild the pelvis. It also promotes collagen regeneration, which restores firmness and improves elasticity.
Simply sit down on the Embella Chair and get comfortable. The chair uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to pulse around the pelvic floor muscles and force them to contract and tighten from the inside. Due to the nature of this energy, we ask that you bring a book or a magazine and leave all electronic devices at the door as the energy can interfere with electronic devices.

WHO IS THIS TREATMENT SUITABLE FOR?
Both men and women can be affected by UI but the causes may be slightly different for women as UI can present itself after childbirth and during the menopause.
Due to the nature of this condition, this treatment is suitable for anyone that is suffering with mild to moderate uterine prolapse, bulging of the front and back walls of the vagina, sexual dysfunction or painful intercourse.

HOW WILL I FEEL?
The Embella Chair is a non-invasive and pain-free treatment; all you may feel is a slight tingling during a session. Because no medicine or anaesthetics are used, patients can leave the clinic immediately after a treatment and return to normal activities.
We recommend eight sessions over a three-week period for the best results, with some tightening in the pelvic area noticeable after three or four treatments. Studies have shown that results from the Embella Chair last between six and 12 months. Some patients may want to continue with single maintenance treatments after their initial eight sessions.
Like all muscles, the pelvic floor muscles weaken when not used regularly. Some patients may need to continue with single maintenance treatments after their initial eight sessions. And depending on the severity of their UI, some people may need two to three eight-session courses in total.
Please note, results may vary between individuals and some people may need more than one course to achieve desires results.
